Where filing space was once dominated by conventional 4 drawer filing cabinets, the need for improved accessibility, space utilisation and information security has generated new storage problems. The X5 rotary storage cabinet provides the solution.

Offering 40% saving in space and up to a 50% reduction in access times, high-level security and good aesthetics the X5 meets the demands of the modern office environment

X5 cabinets feature double-sided shelving bays which rotate on a central axis to access either picking face. This allows the operator access to over 10.5 linear metres of filing without moving, enabling a high filing pick rate.

When not in use the cabinet can be locked in the closed position or if required in the open position allowing access to only one of the picking faces.

Roll-a-Side Mobile Shelving

Roll-a-Side mobile shelving or rolling shelves is ideal in small offices or awkwardly shaped areas such as corridors or alcoves. It offers all of the space-saving advantages of traditional mobile shelving systems, with the added bonus of a dramatic reduction in the number of mobile units requiring movement.

Utilizing a simple manual, push, pull operation, it is ideal where floor space restrictions inhibit the use of mobile shelving.

Roll a slide mobile shelving can also provide an increase in storage capacity of between 75% and 90% over conventional static shelving, by simply doubling the number of units against a wall. This system can be extended, reduced or relocated with a minimum amount of disruption.

Mechanically Operated and Hand Operated Mobile Shelving

Ease of installation and relocation, as well as great aesthetics are at the heart of our mechanically operated mobile shelving systems. The low profile base can easily be configured to match your specific requirements, whether for bulk storage of archive material or easy access to daily office filing.

The pictures to the right illustrate a recent installation of mechanical mobile shelving undertaken by our team, from start to finish. The completed installation stores over 150,000 hospital medical records and was completed in less than two working weeks.

The system is installed quickly and easily using pre-formed components, does not require fixing to the floor and is laid directly onto existing flooring, even carpet tiles. This eliminates the construction work associated with older, conventional mobile shelving systems, resulting in minimal disruption to your workplace during installation.

A grid of tracks and beams is quickly laid and levelled to provide a level and secure foundation for the mobile bases. Tongue and groove floor panels are then laid to provide an attractive, hard wearing non slip laminate finish. Alternatively, flooring to accommodate carpet, vinyl or laminate finishes can also allows easy access for users, even with trolleys.

The pre-assembled bases which incorporate integral anti-tilt safety feature are simply placed onto the tracks ready for the shelving to be added.
